What is a Ritherdon NH RB Cabinet?
The Ritherdon National Highways Approved RB Cabinet is a roadside electrical cabinet designed specifically to meet National Highways specification MCE 2650 for housing electric and electrical equipment along the Strategic Road Network (SRN) of major highways and motorways.
Comprising England’s motorways and A roads, it is at the core of the national transport system (learn more and see the network map).
National Highways Approved RB Cabinet
Manufactured by Ritherdon, these durable stainless steel cabinets borrow from the design principles of the company’s popular standard RB design but are specifically approved by National Highways for use on the highways network.
They meet the requirements detailed in MCE 2650 Technical Requirements for Roadside Electrical Cabinet, as well as standards TR 1100, TR 2130 and TR 2180.
Available in a single door and double door version, manufactured in stainless steel and powder coated in Flint Grey.
Key features include IP56 and IK10 rating, a 12mm plywood backboard, 2° sloped roof, detachable lifting lugs, and three-point locking with National Highways’ Concentric T-key.
These roadside cabinets are covered by the Ritherdon guarantee: all metalwork is guaranteed for 25 years.
