Last year, to improve our carbon footprint, we replaced our paint booth in order to reduce our paint shop waste.
How we solved the problem:
This time last year, Ritherdon invested in a new paint shop with a state-of-the-art bespoke powder coating booth from Gema UK & Ireland, world-leading specialist in powder coating technology.
Ritherdon chose the Gema premium Magic Compact line, complete with SIT dense phase pump technology, with batch management and energy optimisation system.
The new powder coating paint plant has reduced the environmental impact of Ritherdon’s paint procedures due to the exceptionally efficient powder recovery circuit within the booth, which can reclaim up to 95% of powder.
How this has improved our services:
The inclusion of this new paint booth has actively improved our productivity for the last year. The inclusion of this new technology has allowed us to streamline our working procedures when it comes to painting, making us more efficient with admin.
With the ability to self-clean, the booth is immediately safer than our previously used paint booth as there’s less powder in the air and clean up is quicker and simpler, overall improving the working conditions for all paint shop operators.
The additional inverter-controlled filter drive system only consumes the power needed and automatically drops to idle mode when no part is detected, saving significant cost, and reducing the carbon footprint, allowing us to provide the best in powder coated finish, quality and performance.
