Electric Meter Box R16 Surface Mounted – Stainless Steel

The R16 in stainless steel is the meter box to choose when a surface mounted installation with extra strength and durability, is required. Manufactured from stainless steel, this is a particularly strong unit which will last even longer in harsh environments.

Available in two sizes, Medium and Large. Internally, the Large R16 is our largest standard meter box. Precisely because of its larger size, it is suitable for housing a three-phase meter.

The R16 meter boxes are supplied with a meter board and an earthing point. The door is fitted with weather resistant neoprene gasket and a slam cam lock complete with key. Cable entry facilities are provided in the back of the box and in the base.

Key Features

Compatible with the requirements stated for plastic outdoor electricity cupboards in BS 8567:2012.
Secure Locking System – The units are fitted with slam cams which don’t require a turn of the key to lock.
Neoprene Gasket – Provides a waterproof seal around the door.
Surface Mounted – This unit is intended for installations to be fully exterior to the wall, no need to create a wall opening.
12mm Plywood Backboard – For mounting of metering equipment.
2 x 50mm Circular Cut-Outs – For passing electrical cables out of the back or bottom of the meter box. The unused cut-out can be blocked using the plug provided.
Robust Construction – 4003 Stainless Steel construction greatly improves resistance to vandalism and wear and tear compared to GRP, greatly improving its service life.
Colour – Available in RAL 9010 Satin White, however can easily be repainted.
Ritherdon Guarantee – All Stainless Steel products come with a 25-year guarantee.
