The BT Terminal Interface Pillar, also known as BT Communications Pillar, however, their use is not limited to BT applications, as it is designed to house and protect electrical equipment for small scale applications.
The BT pillar is a mini pillar with a detachable door and integral root. The smallest feeder pillar on offer from Ritherdon. Often installed alongside BT Termination Pegs.
These mini pillars which are generally used for remote monitoring and are usually situated near a Traffic Signals Cabinet. This is to allow for an engineer to access the remote monitoring equipment without the need to open the nearby signals cabinet.
BT feeder pillars are available in two different heights – 802 mm and 952 mm, this includes the root of the pillar. The working height are 456 and 606mm, respectively (See Data Tab for all dimensions). A length of wire provides earth bonding of the door to the body using M6 studs complete with nuts and washers and access for cable ducting is provided through the lower front section of the mini pillar.
