Misadventures in Marketing: October
Happy Halloween, where at Ritherdon, the scariest thing is the workload.
As my fifth month ends here at Ritherdon things certainly have been ramping up. I’ve finally been able to contribute more to the business, improving my blogs and other written content and finally cracking on with editing projects that have been on the sidelines for months.
It has been quite useful to expand my editing skill set even though it hasn’t been easy. The red mist tends to build when the supposed solutions to editing problems don’t actually work. Thankfully everything seems to be running smoothly now (touch wood) and my first video, a tutorial on how to install one of our fire seal products, is nearly ready to be sent to customers.

The last month has been an opportunity to show just what I have learned during my time at Ritherdon by panning and creating a marketing campaign for an Apprentify task. Its nice to know that I am indeed learning and am able to put said knowledge into practice.
While the workload has been tough, the office antics never cease to make work a little easier. This month my own boss photoshopped our fire seal product over a scene from 2001 a Space Odyssey. What did your boss do?
As for Apprentify, we have moved onto a different unit, taking a break from the fundamentals of marketing and instead focusing on how websites work. Surprisingly this unit has actually proved to be some of the most interesting content on the course and not the terrifying matrix level of mind bending that I was afraid of.

In the coming month it seems I will be continuing to finish my editing works while starting new ones on other tutorials whilst completing more tutorial work and gearing up for my coding exam.
Looks like another busy month.
