Misadventures in Marketing: January 2022
Well, it is now Christmas past, and we can look forward to emerging from our food comas and/or hangovers back into the wonderful world of work.
You can stop swearing now.
All jokes aside, while I thought returning to work after a holiday would be a pain but the 2 weeks plus a previously unknown bank holiday have given me a much-needed recharge.
But on the work front I am now officially past the 6 month threshold and as such I have been feeling the need to up my responsibility at work.
Before anybody says I’m crazy, my confidence and my abilities have grown whilst working here and I have felt I have wanted to do more for the department for a while now. After streamlining our content creation with our new content calendar it seems the time is ripe for creating and getting more things out there.

My 6month milestone has also prompted my second progress review with my apprenticeship provider, which, forgive me for sounding smug, has gone really with my work rate and quality being praised by my tutor.
This has also, fortunately, coincided with a request from our colleagues at Better Factory, which have a part of the team based in Barcelona, have requested for us to film footage as part of a promo to highlight how we are adapting a more environmentally friendly and efficient workflow into our factory.
This has involved a lot of filming of various aspects of very loud and heavy machinery, find out more about the factory capacity. While my hearing may have taken a hit, the footage taken with our new camera has been great so far and because of spending so much time in the factory, I’m finally getting more comfortable working in the factory shopfloor, with colleagues I don’t usually see.

All in all it has been a pretty successful start to the new year, coming back strong and getting straight back into things.
Its looking like a busy February, filming the rest of the factory for the promo and using my content creation.
Well, here’s to the new year.
