Shergan Pencil Bollards & Ritherdon Retention Sockets
Shergan’s Pencil Bollards have become a popular choice for schools, with thousands installed across Ireland. To make installation even more efficient, many of these bollards are paired with Ritherdon Atlas Retention Sockets, providing a smart, practical solution that eliminates the need for re-excavation.
Atlas Retention Sockets are invaluable in locations where bollards, poles, or posts need to be removed easily. Hence they are used in areas with potential impact risks, where clearance may occasionally be required, or where regular maintenance is necessary.
For example, on Ballinalee Rd bollards were installed in high-impact areas, while at Camross Community Park they were placed in sockets to allow for temporary removal when needed.
Shergan Traffic Solutions were particularly impressed with the Camross installation, noting:

The donation was so well received in the locality, it was featured on the local Westmeath Examiner newspaper.
