Celebrating World EV Day
How Ritherdon entered the EV industry:
It’s World EV Day today and Ritherdon has been proud to be supplying and working in such a thriving and forward-thinking industry since 2014.
The EV industry has grown exponentially over the years, so in keeping with our mission to bring creative and innovative solutions to our customers, we diversified our product range by developing our largest cabinets, the RMC and PS300 Cabinet Range.
The larger cabinets gained the attention of charge point operator, Instavolt, which led to us creating a custom RMC Cabinet Feeder Pillar, which is capable of housing EV equipment for use in powering rapid EV charging points.
For smaller installations we have the RB Range with the capability to house fast-charging EV pumps. Many of our products, such as our Atlas Retention Sockets, even act as Ideal accompaniments for protecting electrical car charging infrastructure.
The Stainless Steel construction of our Feeder Pillars allows them to be fully recycled as opposed to GRP. This makes Ritherdon products a sustainable alternative and ideal for achieving joint net zero goals.
Recently we have gone a step further and developed Prewired EV Charging Feeder Pillars to save customers time and money with their installations. These are available on our website now.
How Ritherdon has Implemented EV:
We are currently developing new electrical charging products. Now we can finally update our range with our EV logo so customers can identify our products that provide EV solutions. This will be presented on all our current and future EV-based products going forward.
Outside of our product range, we have begun to incorporate EV charging into our business practices, upgrading our company van to an electric one and installing a new EV charging bay in our factory.
This follows our goal of implementing further environmentally friendly practices as part of Ritherdon day to day business.
