Building a brick cubicle might seem like a good option when installing a new power supply (or upgrading a connection), however there might be more requirements than anticipated.
There is an important detail not to be overlooked when getting a new power supply: you must meet the requirements of the DNO, the company responsible for the grid. The DNO will inspect the new supply and will energise it only if it meets their requirements.
In what seems like a simple construction job, the brick building will need to be compliant with the DNO. Here is a brick built cubicle drawing from local DNO Electricity North West as an example of such requirements. To simplify connection projects, Ritherdon designed an effective alternative to the brick built cubicle.

PS and TBS Supply Kiosks

Durable:
Constructed from high quality materials (stainless steel and now PVC option too!) both the PS and TBS Kiosks are designed to withstand the elements. A strong cabinet too with an IK10 impact rating.
Secure:
Provides a secure space for your electrical components, with separate lockable compartments for the consumer and the DNO. Both compartment doors come fitted with a three-point locking system with tri-key camlocks and padlock shroud. Find out more about enclosure security.

Not only does using a Power Supply Enclosure reduce labour costs due to its quick installation, but it also minimises maintenance expenses over time, providing long term savings.
Versatile:
For different types of connections, you can choose either the PS60 or the PS300 Kiosks (‘PS’ stands for Permanent Supply).
The PS60 Kiosk houses equipment up to 100 A or 60-70 kVA whilst the PS300 Kiosk has a larger capacity, housing equipment up to 430 A or 309 kVA, and can also house a CT Chamber or other CT Metering Panels such as a MOD156. These are not included with the Kiosk, but can also be supplied by Ritherdon depending on your connection requirements.
As well as offering the TBS60 and TBS300 in their temporary versions, which are the same material and quality, just painted ‘traffic red’ so they are identified as temporary supplies (‘TBS’ stands for Temporary Builders Supply).
