As you are aware, we closed the factory, the past 25th of March. We did so to protect our staff, help in the national effort to combat Covid-19, and protect front line workers. Quite a few of us are in furlough and those who can, have been working from home. We are lucky to be in a position where everyone is on full pay and there haven’t been any redundancies. During this time Ritherdon has been:

Supporting customers. 

We sent out products, from stock, for critical projects during lockdown. That related to dealing with the Covid-19 outbreak.

Working from home.

Providing support for queries, technical questions and helping you plan for future work. Ritherdon has always supported flexible working practices. We all use flexitime and office staff worked from home when needed. When office-based staff started remote working, some of us had already had a bit of practice. 

Keeping Connected.

Whilst staying home we have kept in touch with all staff using private group messaging. Its has been a welcome bit of fun for the whole team. We’ve also connected with other manufacturers to share best practices and support.

Preparing to come back.

Production will restart in the factory on Monday the 18th of May. Following guidelines, with strict hygiene standards and social distancing to keep everyone safe. 

We will be contacting our customers, who have orders with us, over the next couple of weeks. While production capacity increases and we re-established the production plan.
